If you ever find yourself in Coeur d'Alene, ID you really need to check out this hidden gem.
We wanted to try out somewhere new and unique while enjoying Idaho and boy did we find it! Paragon Brewing is a small little brew house that serves some great beers and even better pub style food.
When entering the brewery we weren't sure if we could bring our little Brooklynn in with us but they welcomed us with open arms. They even had a cute little corner for kids to enjoy themselves and draw on a chalkboard.
We both enjoyed the Cascades Lake Blonde beer, we tend to enjoy a lighter beer. Dark beer - not so much! They did have beers ranging from the Blonde we got all the way down to some stout beer!
With our beer we decided to try there pub burger and it was to die for. A nice medium rare burger with some cheese and onion rings paired with some delicious shoestring fries. Even Brooklynn enjoyed the food !

Before heading to the brewery we headed out on our own little adventure. We took highway 90 up to the Lake coeur d'Alene Scenic Byway, also known at highway 97. We saw some gorgeous scenery. A lot of old buildings and barns. Everything was gorgeous with a layer of snow on the ground.
Whenever Loren and I take trips we play a little game. Whoever spots the most wildlife has to buy the other one drinks. For us wildlife includes; deer, elk, foxes, coyotes, and bears. Obviously bears aren't going to be out this time of year. Eventually we will have to tweak the rules when Brooklynn is old enough to play but for now we enjoy our current rules. Mama bear took the win for today. I spotted to gorgeous deer and we were even able to pull over and snap a few pictures of them. We also drove by an elk farm out here and saw a massive bull elk that we snapped a picture of as well.
