We've been able to check out a few different restaurants during our stay in Idaho. So far none of them have disappointed us!
Saturday morning we tried out a small place called Susie's Home Kitchen.
We got some coffee in some nice homey mugs. Loren enjoyed some awesome heuvos rancheros and I had the 2 egg meal with biscuits and gravy. Some big portions and great tasting food. Of course Brooklynn enjoyed hers as well. More actually got in her mouth then on the floor this time.
That evening we went to a small Mexican restaurant. Loren and I shared the fajita combo but we were more impressed with the drink portions here! Check these bad boys out -
We had the most fun being out with our family, 4 adults, 2 teenagers, and 2 toddlers makes for quite a loud evening! Ok so maybe Tonee and I were the loud ones but for once it was time for us Mama's to let loose and we had a blast!
Another restaurant that is one of my favs out in Idaho is called Capone's. Ed took me there the very first time I came to visit Idaho in 2009 and I fell in love, we always stop in there to at least have a drink when we visit. Loren and I didn't eat dinner there but we stopped by to enjoy some drinks and the famous Idaho Nachos. They were delicious!
Now the last place I want to talk about is our favorite new find and we plan to go back next time we visit as well. We traveled up to Sandpoint to do some antiquing, we were hoping to find something cool for my mom but we didn't have such great luck in that department. We did stumble upon a great place called Mick Duff's Brewing Company.
We were a little weary when we walked in but after sitting down and chatting with the waitress we really enjoyed ourselves. The ambiance of the pub was awesome, the wall behind the bar was all chalkboard and the taps were all wrenches.
Loren enjoyed the Tipsy Toe Head Blonde Ale and I enjoyed The Idaho Arm Curl. The funny thing about our beers is we each ordered the opposite one and ended up switching because we liked what the other one was drinking.
For grub we enjoyed an amazing kobe bacon bbq burger with fried onions on top paired with some tasty waffle fries! We ordered Brooklynn some chicken fingers and fries but she was only interested in eating all the pickles, silly girl! Loren and I ended up sharing the chicken fingers. :)
We went home with a new sweatshirt and t-shirt to represent the brewing company we enjoyed so much and we can't wait to go back next time we are in town!
Sounds like a good time was had by all!
