Placentia's 50th Heritage Day Parade

Today was Placentia's 50th Heritage Day Parade!  Brooklynn and I decided to get up bright and early and go to the Pancake Breakfast with her favorite grandparents and great grandparents.  She ate 3 1/2 pancakes and 2 sausage links, what a little piggy! haha

After the pancake Breakfast we went and picked up Auntie Lisa and our awesome Red Flyer wagon she bought us, so that B could enjoy the parade in style. :)  It was a great parade, Brooklynn danced her little heart out evertyime a school marching band came by.  She even got to sit on her uncles shoulders too! The absolute best part was that her Grandpa and Grammy were in the parade as well, her Grandpa, Tom Solomonson, is one of the commisioners of Placentia. They drove by in a car and she was very confused as to why they were out in the parade and not with her. :)

Brooklynn loved the firetruck as well!  Here it is above with the Placentia Mayor, Scott Nelson and his wife Robin!  After the parade we headed over to Tri City Park.  The park is set up with over 40 booths, these booths include businesses and clubs in the area, crafts, and food!  We enjoyed a Tri Tip Sandwich from one of our favorite restaurants, Craftsman Woodfire Pizza and then walked around the craft area to see what gems we could find.  Of course Brooklynn scored with some awesome homemade bows from Little Miss Clips .  After walking around the craft area we headed up to the beer garden.  We enjoyed a beer and a pretzel with the fam before heading home for the day.

A great day was had by all!  The only thing that would have made this day better would have been if Daddy could have enjoyed it with us.  He was out working hard!
